Let start off by saying how much I love this face serum! I started making it myself about 2 years ago after I dumped money into product after product that did nothing, really nothing. Not only does this serum cost pennies to make, it actually works! Scares faded, skin tightened, over all complexion glowing, I am a mother of 2, yes 2, 14 year old twins and I have been told I look in my 20’s, score!!!
Rosehip seed oil is magic in a bottle! It firms and tightens the skin almost instantly all while absorbing quickly, so oily prone skin can use with out worry. No oil slicks here! Carrot seed essential oil is wonderful for all skin types as it is full of beta carotene, vitamin A and C, and retinol. Orange essential oil is full of skin loving vitamin c as well as folic acid. The super start that will be tightening those pores and keeping bacteria at bay. You must, must, must use only a dark colored bottle only! Essential oils are very light sensitive and will die off if exposed to the direct light and will eat away at plastic containers, so please use glass. I will be giving you the recipe I use everyday, but feel free to add and take away the essential oils and customize it to your own skin needs. Remember 10 drops of essential oil to 1 Tablespoon of carrier oil. So scale and adjust as you need.
You will need:
- Dark amber glass bottle with dropper
- Rosehip seed oil (organic)
- Orange and carrot seed essential oils
- measuring spoons
- vitamin e oil (pure oil, nothing with fillers)
Place the funnel in the bottle and add 3 Tablespoons rosehip seed oil. Next add 20 drops of vitamin e oil, 20 drops of orange essential oil and 5 drops of carrot seed essential oil (too much can turn the skin orange so please no more then 5 drops) give a gentle shake, not too fast or hard or else the essential oils will become damaged. Voila, organic vitamin c face serum! Store in the fridge to prolong shelf life. Use the dropper that comes with the bottle to add a few drops at a time, a little goes a long way. Comments, questions or concerns drop them below, I’d love to hear about your results! As always smile, you’re beautiful!
