Homemade Buffalo Chicken Pizza


I am back at it again with another clean eating Buffalo style recipe.  If this is your first time visiting check out my other recipes Buffalo style meatballs ,Buffalo Chicken Loaded Potatoes and now I will be teaching you how to make Buffalo Chicken Pizza.  Making Buffalo style food is pretty much my thing since where i am from ,Western New York, Buffalo wings are pretty much a staple.  This delicious pizza is made with organic chicken, organic mozzarella cheese, organic whole grain flour , extra virgin olive oil , the one the only Franks red hot and  organic ranch seasoning.   Ready to learn how to make this tasty pizza absolutely guilt free?

  • 2 chicken breast cut up into small chunks
  • 1/4 cup of hot sauce
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of Mozzarella cheese

Pizza Crust

  • 1 and 1/2 half cups of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 1/4 cup of wheat germ
  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of whole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

In your stand mixer add the warm water and yeast, allow to stand for 5 mins. After that time add the wheat germ, using the dough hook attachment start kneading the mixture, add the flour 1 cup at a time. After you added your last cup add the olive oil, allow to knead until a soft dough is formed. You don’t want the dough to be stiff as it won’t work well for pizza dough, but you don’t want it sticky either as you can’t work with it. A soft dough is ideal as it will stretch , easy to work with and rises nice. Makes a much better pizza crust in the finish product. Once your dough is formed mix together the olive oil and ranch seasoning, using a basting brush, brush the bottom and sides of a 14 inch cast iron pan .  In my last pizza recipe, Bacon Garlic Parmesan Pizza ,I explained how baking the pizza in this pan evenly cooks the pizza, while leaving the outside of the crust nice and crispy, but the inside nice and soft. Once you bake a pizza in a cast iron pan I guarantee you will never bake your pizza in anything else ever again! Back to the recipe, lol, after you have basted the bottom and sides of the pan with the olive oil, ranch mix take your dough place it in the pan and with your fingers slowly work the dough in the pan until it is all spread out. Using the brush , brush the top of the dough with the rest of the mixture. Set to the side and allow to rise.


While it is rising in a pan on the stove on med-hi heat add the cubed up chicken breast. Cook until fully done about 15mins. Turn off heat and add the hot sauce. Mix well and allow to sit about 5 mins.


When that is done using a spoon , add the chicken to the top of the dough. Use the spoon to drizzle the hot sauce over the top. Reserve a little in the pan for when it is done, add the cheese. Bake at 400 for about 25-30 mins depending on how crispy you want the crust. When done spoon the reserved hot sauce over the top.
